“woaaaaah” road trip # 4, Santa Cruz, California
Santa Cruz is this beach town, which is about an hour away from where I live. In reality it’s not that far, but I never go there and it’s somewhat a difficult drive so I look at it as a road trip. Anywho, after an extremely rough day at work I left for Santa Cruz. I had to make a couple stops first; gas, food, water, etc. On the way down there I hit some traffic, which wasn’t surprising, I finally got there about 6:45 where I met my friend Mary, picked up from her and chilled in her car. I went to where the show was being held but had a difficult time actually finding where it was (just seeing the band’s van doesn’t mean the place is close) I figured out where it was and went in and saw everyone, Chris, Alex, Brian, Ryan, and Mark. We hung out for a bit and the first guy went on, he was a little weird. My friend Emily called me to tell me that she was there so I went out to get her and gave her a BIG HUG! Weatherbox played and rocked it and than Snuffy played and rocked it. After they all played, we chilled out hard and some other people played which were pretty good. Chris and I tried to talked about making and selling the snuffaluffaguses but again, we were unsuccessful. The show was over and I helped them load, which became know has playing Tetris. During this time we confronted Brian about some of his lyrics, and found out that he never said “my boring wife” in his song but always says “my boring white life.” We hung out a little longer while Chris enjoyed a volcano, said our goodbyes and I was headed home. For the most part it was uneventful night, but a good time nonetheless.
