send your daddy notes, you made it kid you’re on the road
the idea behind this tumblr was simply a random thought. i wanted to document every road trip that would happen throughout 2009. when i think about 2008, the most prominent memories are all the road trips that i took throughout the year. unfortunately, i never really documented other than telling simple stories, i didn’t want this to happen for 2009 because i am hoping that this year will be full of road trips. there is a chance that i will forget about this journal and never updated past my first road trip (which is taking place later today, when normal people are awake) however, i am going to do my best to update it after every road trip and hopefully have an interesting story. we will see how it goes, time will only tell.
2008, was the first year were i took many road trips without any adult supervision. eventually, i found myself driving to sacramento, ca (which has now become one of my favorite cities, ever.) every other weekend to see a band. after several trips up there i made many friends (and enemies) in a city 100 miles away. i drove up there a couple times without music being the main cause, and the memories of those trips stick out as well. over the summer i decided to branch out and visit southern california, i drove twice and flew once. i loved every minute of it. there is something about being on the driving all over with my closest friends that i will always love, and that is what this tumblr is all about; best friends, playlists, snacks, and the open road.
